Community Learning Network is a Registered Charity and a Company Limited by Guarantee.

Our OBJECTS are:

To advance the socioeconomic position of communities experiencing poverty and deprivation addressing the underlying determinants to promote social inclusion, justice and equality across the Midlands region and build strong, resilient and cohesive communities.

 To advance education and training, including vocational and basic skills training for communities experiencing marginalisation and social exclusion, and to provide information, advice and guidance to young people on their future pathways.

 To provide facilities for social, recreational, sport and leisure and health for children and young people with less opportunities who have specific needs for reasons of their ethnicity, infirmity, disablement, poverty or social and economic circumstances.

 To support women from disadvantaged communities.

 To relieve, poverty, hardship and distress by offering a range of support services and interventions according to need, including welfare rights, debit, immigration and nationality advice.

 To improve employability by creating access to opportunities, targeting groups and areas in greatest need by the provision of careers guidance, arrangement of work experience and volunteering opportunities to build skills, knowledge, confidence and self-esteem.

 To undertake research and consultation to identify pertinent issues for groups experiencing socioeconomic disenfranchisement in order to influence policy and practice developments and disseminate good practice.

 To act as a conduit between the public sector commissioners, service providers, practitioners and the community facilitating transfer of knowledge and learning to build organisational capacity and competence for the effective execution of statutory duties.

 To promote any other purpose in relation to issues of social justice and equality in accordance with charitable regulations as stipulated by English Law.
